I would not be able to get out of bed or make it through the day. It helps me with my fibromyalgia symptoms, mostly muscle pain. I take 1200mg Malic Acid (two 600mg capsules) then you are supposed to take half that of Magnesium but I take 400mg (because of the capsule size). I sometimes take an extra magnesium in the morning. I prefer magnesium in capsules rather than tablets as I feel that I break them down and absorb them better. (I prefer liquids to capsules if possible) I use the Swansons brand of Malic Acid and their magnesium. It was the only brand I could afford but I have been very happy with the quality. Also, I have tried ribose and did not feel any real effect that I could discern. I am trying it again and may feel a little extra stamina but not enough to be certain. Someone else asked about fulvic acid and also essential oils. I have played with essential oils but not enough to feel like I could voice an opinion. The brand that I would explore is Young Living - they have no extra fillers - purity is their big thing which is important to me due to chemical issues as it is for most of us especially with oils that go straight into the body. Their oils are supposed to be so pure and safe that you can ingest them. I have purchased a product called metal-X by Life-Flo Health care products. It is an ion-exchanging humivulvate with essential minerals. It is supposed to be a natural chelator. I have not really started taking this because I wasn't sure how many thiol groups it had and if would capture then release mercury (which I was unaware of before learning about Yasko). If someone can answer this, I would be grateful. I was planning to use it instead of charcoal. It includes magnesium, potassium, zinc, manganese, copper(2mg), molybdenum (175mcg), Selenium, Vanadium, Cobalt. Usual disclaimer - also Malic Acid and Magnesium are on Yasko's list but are essential oils or fulvic acid? (I am assuming not) Marti

Can anyone give me a brand name? thanks! joyce > Hi Joyce, I have never seen it enteric coated but maybe someone can help you. I found this on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malic_acid " Malic acid contributes to the sourness of green apple. Malic acid is present in grapes. It confers a tart taste to wine, although the amount decreases with increasing fruit ripeness " A lady at my church eats apples and grapes and controls her fibromyalgia that way. Hope this helps, Marti
