Guest guest
Has anyone gotten rapidly developing cataracts while on Lyrica? This is listed as a rare side effect on neurontin. I would not have known this except that my opthomologist had been following my case before I ever started taking Lyrica. I am 62 and had the usual small, slow- growing cataracts on both eyes for the past five years - no changes. I am not diabetic. So I started Lyrica last fall for nerve pain and unexplained anxiety attacks - not to mention the unexplained constant head pressure - all undiagnosed. My opthomologist was checking my eyes every three months due to some reduction in vision and one pupil dilated - no relation to cataracts, but not diagnosed either as to cause. Okay, in three months on 300 mg of Lyrica a day I got a rapidly growing NEW cataract in my right eye. Today I saw the doc. 3 months later and now my left eye has a cataract which is worse than the right eye. What the heck is going on? Anyone else concerned about what Lyrica MAY BE DOING???? a Carnes
