Guest guest
Ignore the article in the medical hypotheses journal that I posted. I just read the full text of the article in my local medical library and he totally misinterprets previous studies regarding ACE levels and CFS. He somehow thinks that CFS is associated with low levels of ACE. But one study showed that it was associated with high levels, and another study on Gulf War veterans showed that people with the I form of the ACE gene were less likely to get CFS. The I form is associated with lower levels of ACE, but he claims that it's associated with high levels. So I really don't know what he's talking about. My opinion of the medical hypothesis journal was always a bit low, considering some of the crazy theories that have been presented in that journal. However, I never would have believed that they would allow an article they would have obvious errors like this. - Mark

Guest guest
He cites references that show that elevated ACE is associated with CFS, yet his thesis is that low levels of angiotensin II can cause CFS. He also states that the I allele of the ACE gene is associated with high expression of ACE, when the exact opposite is true. > > > > > > Mark, hey > > > Could you give references of the papers you mention an/or elaborate > > on this a bit more? > > > Thanks > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
