Do long term pwc's have these more than the normal population? bw nil [Moderator: see http://www.name-us.org/ResearchPages/ResearchArticlesAbstracts/Articles/Jas\ on2005Mortalityfull.pdf for the research paper in full. In terms of models: * CFIDS being associated with Vitamin D insufficiency would definitely push the cancer rates up considerably (and if you are an unnamed-protocol, even higher!!) and is consistant with the numbers. * CFIDS being associated with hypercoagulation would cause higher incidence of diseases assocaited with coagulation, include stroke and heart attacks. CFIDS have been given as the CAUSE OF DEATH, see http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn9342-first-official-death-from-chronic-fat\ igue-syndrome-.html , " recorded the cause of death of a 32-year-old woman as acute aneuric renal failure (failure to produce urine) due to dehydration as a result of CFS. " You should look at comobid conditions (i.e. conditions associated with CFIDS -- the cascading issues: irritable bowel, de-conditioning, etc. ]
