Bad idea…. My doctor told me to keep Q-tips out of your ears. He said the

box will even tell you that they are not made to be used internally. They

are more for the outer part of the ear. The doctor told me that if you

think of your ear like a old time musket or cannon and think of the Q-tip as

that rod they used to pound the gun powder down into them, you are basically

doing the same thing to ear wax. Once it’s packed in there, it becomes

harder for the little hairy things to push the wax out. Trust me, you don’t

want the doctor to extract it! That happened to me last summer. Not fun,

and kind of painful :-) Although I’ve been tempted, I haven’t put a Q-tip

in my ears since!

[] Re: Vinegar, It's not just for salads.

If you have tubes in your ears I would not recommend it. I don't

know enough about the interaction of the two. In this case, I would

swab the ears with a Q-tip.

Oh wow...I was using Q-tip in my ear to clean. I usually use it

carefully but was in a hurry jammed it in too far and mannn, did that

hurt!!!!!!!! I had to take a pain pill. I'm sure I poke the ear drum

and I think there was a small bit of blood. Yes, a thin wash cloth

and fingers only I learned.

Only thing you put in your ear is your elbow.
