Guest guest
there is a group called low dose naltrexone bw nil coenzyme q10, feel worse does anyone know what that might mean if you get a headache when u take it or just feel generally worse, a little herxish? I tried it in past, think I tolerated it even years ago but noticed didnt like it couple years ago. Its not as bad as N-AC makes me feel but suspect it caused headache with one dose and the next day am feeling malaise. I am also trying LDN the last couple months, very small dose, so not sure how it might interact with dif supplements.
Guest guest
take idebenone instead of coq10 [Moderator: From Wikipedia: " Idebenone (pronounced eye-deb-eh-known) is an organic compound of the quinone family and promoted commercially as a synthetic analog of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Idebenone is claimed to have properties similar to CoQ10 in its antioxidant properties. Idebenone is different from Coenzyme Q10 in one very important way. During a hypoxic (low oxygen) condition, CoQ10 can switch function from an anti-oxidizing to an auto-oxidizing process. This auto-oxidation rapidly produces free radicals which damage the tissues of the body.[verification needed] Idebenone is said to perform the same functions as CoQ10 without the risk of an auto-oxidation reaction. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idebenone This difference may be very significant for CFIDS, because of the probability of some tissues (i.e. brain) being in a low oxygen state in which case, you do not want it to be auto-oxidizing! @...: kim.doll70@...: Sat, 30 Aug 2008 21:42:34 +0000Subject: coenzyme q10, feel worse
Guest guest
My directions from Dr. Cheney were to take one idebenone for every Coq10. Right now I take only idebenone...I'm pretty irregular on many thing atm...anyway, it's in a topical cream/gel form. Guest guest
I also felt worse on Q10 - in the same way you describe. At the time I thought I felt worse on it either b/c it lowered my blood pressure or b/c it just did not agree with me. Now I wonder about Mike's answer being the reason. > > does anyone know what that might mean if you get a headache when u > take it or just feel generally worse, a little herxish? > I tried it in past, think I tolerated it even years ago but noticed > didnt like it couple years ago. > Its not as bad as N-AC makes me feel but suspect it caused headache > with one dose and the next day am feeling malaise. > > I am also trying LDN the last couple months, very small dose, so not > sure how it might interact with dif supplements. >
