Guest guest
I will try L theanine, my concern is that as the link showed that I posted the brain mught have a difficiult time adjusting in withdrawal if using certain supplements that have similiar effects possibly causing a more difficiult and harder withdrawal to manage. My concern is i can't even tolerate withdrawal but the drugs chemical are causing me to worsen so I'm stuck, I might taper to valium as i hear it is prefered I just cant put any stress on my body I wish I could focus on getting better and not even be worried about benzos as I fight for my life @...: mrl@...: Mon, 20 Oct 2008 15:27:19 +0000Subject: Suggestions: Benzo alternatives? Mike - Have you tried theanine? I suggest you read this web page:http://www.raysahelian.com/theanine.htmlI have been on klonopin for about 6 months due to pelvic spasms. It helps, but I still have many bad days of constant spasms. So over this past weekend I decided to try adding theanine. I started with 150mg every 8 hours, but that didn't seem to do much. I then went up to 300mg every 8 hours yesterday, and pratically had a spasm free day, which is unheard of for me. The results have continued today, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!Btw, I recently read a study which showed that melatonin helped some people get off of klonopin, by offsetting the disruption in sleep that occurs when getting off of it. - Mark _________________________________________________________________ Store, manage and share up to 5GB with Windows Live SkyDrive. http://skydrive.live.com/welcome.aspx?provision=1?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_skydrive_102\
Guest guest
Hi - I was attracted to theanine because of it's supposed ability to increase dopamine levels, which klonopin doesn't have. Plus, it may also have neuroprotective effects. It doesn't seem to make me drowsy, or sleepy, like klonopin does. So I'm not sure if it's mode of action are that similar, unless perhaps you take gobs more of it than I'm taking (I took 900mg yesterday). - Mark > > I will try L theanine, my concern is that as the link showed that I posted the brain mught have a difficiult time adjusting in withdrawal if using certain supplements that have similiar effects possibly causing a more difficiult and harder withdrawal to manage. > > My concern is i can't even tolerate withdrawal but the drugs chemical are causing me to worsen so I'm stuck, I might taper to valium as i hear it is prefered I just cant put any stress on my body > I wish I could focus on getting better and not even be worried about benzos as I fight for my life > > > > @...: mrl@...: Mon, 20 Oct 2008 15:27:19 +0000Subject: Suggestions: Benzo alternatives? > > > > > Mike - Have you tried theanine?
