No insult taken (or likely to be taken). What I was trying to say is

that to assume that there is ONE virus or bacterial infection

involved with either the causing or maintaining of CFIDS is not

supported by the published studies. " It's conventions MD thinking,

one illness -- one infection " .

CFIDS is a set of symptoms that can be caused by many infections ---

what I have seen is that ALL of the infections associated with CFIDS

(i.e. CFIDS population with 60% having Q-Fever, normal population 5%)

are also the identical set of infections associated with

Syndrome or APS. There are two exceptions, TB and Leprosy which is

not associated with CFIDS -- in the case of TB, TB would be ascribed

to the fatigue; as for Leprosy -- I actually meet someone with CFIDS

who had Leprosy that was successfully treated a year before coming

down with CFIDS, negative for all of the other infections.... The

difference between APS symptoms and CFIDS symptoms appears to be an

acquired (for example, mercury, organophospates) or inherited

coagulation problem.

APS infections causes blood coagulation.

The problem is finding a way out of this state that consists of:

1) Multiple infections (some bacteria, some virus, some candida or

other)

2) Acquired brain trauma (either by infection or by hypoxia)

3) Malabsorption (either by infection or by hypoxia of stomach

lining) resulting in a mis-nourished body [and thus crippled immune

system]

4) Other conditions triggered by immune system response to infection,

or coagulation, etc.

It is a spider web that CAN be escaped from. A thinking of " CFIDS is

infection X and if I can get that treated I will be fine " may work

for a small percentage but in general the path is a far more complex

one.

> I'm not trying to make waves but, I was the one who said to look at

the doc on youtube that was saying that CFS is caused by one of three

types of herpes viruses. anyway the question I have is, when I said

to check it out: the moderator said " Studies indicated differently,

the MD has not read the research " But in this post Walter brings up

the same issue based probably on the same video I watched. But if

those viruses don't start CFS then which ones do? The guy that wrote

the VIRUS CHECKING POST tested positive for EBV and CMV< I do beleive

thought that the moderator is right when he sais that " regardless of

whatever infection started CFIDS, the infection changes the body to

be friendly to other infections associated with the CFIDS, so the

number of infections, on average increases " . See i'm just not sure

if the original virus or viruses (because you could have one or

more).. changed or not but i do think they did allow other

infections to

> happen... This is just a guess but I think that they allow Candida

Albicans to overgrow the body but especially the nervous system...

because all types of herpes viruses attack or live in the nervous

system, this could make it weak enough for the candida to overgrow it

and cause such lethargy and fatigue, and to me it seems like it is

interupting bodys electrical communication center. Of course I have

no real basis for this except endless research and study trying to

figure out how to beat this. It is all hypothetical but for some

reason does make sense to me. thanks all for reading sorry it was so

long. and I wasn't trying to insult the moderator , just trying to

figure out what he was actually trying to say.
