Guest guest
Re moderator's comment: It usually takes years for doctors to recognize/acknowledge adrenal problems. Random cortisol tests are just that, ie random, and are often not a clear picture of what is happening in the adrenals. M.D.'s are often reluctant to give the random cortsol test; they see no need. Endocrinologists are reluctant to give the ACTH test; my random cortisol result was so low, it was obvious that I was in trouble and needed fast intervention. I am still struggling. I can go to sites for adrenal exhaustion/'s and I can go to CFIDS sites, but I have no medical help on how to deal with the combination. If anyone has any information or finds something on line, I'd be ever so grateful. Kathy F.
