Guest guest
I have been reading the posts about tests in this forum for some time and wondering a couple of things: 1. How the heck do you folks pay for all these tests? 2. Why get tested for something you cannot get anyone to treat you for? I suppose the answer to #1 is that some people are well off and some have really good insurance. And I guess that good old scientific curiosity could account for #2. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts on this if you can. Libby [Moderator: #1, in some cases a partner/extended family is working and contribute to tests not covered by insurance. In other cases, the person happen to have really good insurance. #2 is actually a two parter: 2.A some of the infections can be treated with non-prescription items (or with a trip across a border, i.e. Mexico), finding a co-operative CFIDS MD is always a challenge. Sometimes you can get what you need by " playing to the MD's mindframe " , that is, forget the CFIDS aspect, do not mention that it is connected with CFIDS but an entirely different problem....]
