What are you being treated for?

I've heard Breakspear is good for lyme diagnosis/treatemnt.

Many of us are in the US so could you fill us in about this facility.

Hi Caroline,

Wow, I have never heard of some of these tests.

The methylation panel is an interesting one. It can be very useful to

identify the methylation cycle which is related to various other

important cycles like the Kreb's cycle, neurotrasmitters. A methyl

group is one carbon and 3 hydrogen atoms and it is a very important

part of our biochemistry. Some folks have a metabolic analyis panel,

the methyaltion panel, an amino acid panel and an essential

elements/toxic metals panel to get a snapshot of how the body is

working. In addition, there are a few genetic tests that show

polymorphisms. A couple are covered by standard insurance, the

remainder are self-pay and still experimental. (research is ongoing).

There are various websites to find this information. The methylation

cycle is quite complex. There is a protocol designed by Dr. Amy Yasko

. Her focus is autistic children but there is quite a bit of overlap.

That protocol is not discussed on this forum but you can go to

CFS_Yasko (another group).

Here is a website that explains the methylation cycle in easy terms.

hope that helps,

Marti
