Guest guest
Hi Sharon. Something I learnt when looking into magnesium was that calcium does not get absorbed if one is magnesium deficient. Calcium then has a tendensy to often sit in the joints and muscels and cause problems. This is one of the causes of arthrits evidently. This is not hard to remedy by taking large amounts of magnesium. I also learnt that 60 - 80% of the population is magnesium deficient plus that most of those with various diseases etc are magnesium deficient. I have ME and also MCS and I know that takeing large doses of magnesium has done wonders for me. [i take 5400 mg of magnesium glycinate a day which is 1080 mg of 'elemental magnesium'] Because magnesium also needs calcium & vitamin D to be absorbed, as a precaution I also take a multi vitamin when I take the magnesium in the morning and at night - though I don't take the multi the rest of the time I take the magnesium. I personally need very little calium as I seem to have a lot that has built up. blessings Shan
