Hi Kendra,

There are quite a few people on the 'net who are making their own mag chloride.

This site is an excellent source, recommended by many users:

http://www.naturalimport.com/shop_for_nigari

I think you'll find a good bit of info there.

I just purchased some a few weeks ago, and am in the beginning stages of

experimenting with it. Most people recommend mixing the nigari flakes at 1 part

Nigari to 3 parts water. Since a few users have a problem with skin itching in

the first week or 2 of use, I've chosen to mix mine at 4 pts water to 1 of

nigari. I have it in a spray bottle and have been applying it to an arthritic

hip and some lower back pain. Spray it on, rub it in.

My back pain is gone!

I also spray it on my face before using moisturizer, and it is a great skin

'smoother'. I'm putting just a couple of 'flakes' into my one qt water bottle

that I carry around everywhere.

I will soon be ramping up the concentration as it has caused me no problem at

all.

I am really appreciating this external form of magnesium, since all of the oral

types tend to give me diarrhea.

Just experiment with it, it seems almost impossible to cause any harm--except of

course if one were to overdo it!

Good luck,

Sharon

Dr. Pall believes that magnesium malate is the best form for those with

CFIDS.

Not specific to the types you mention but I noticed the Magnesium

Taurate seems to have an almost dependent affect after the first few

days, increased tolerance, reduced effectiveness and such.

Tried this many times in myself and willing healthy guineas: 400mg

first 3 days, then 200mg every other day keeps a perceived 50% of the

initial effect sustainable.

Just found it difficult to stay on magnesium with other meds being

blocked by it.
