Guest guest Posted December 1, 2008 Report Share Posted December 1, 2008 Is anemia common with CFS or Fibromyalgia? I've been anemic for over a year, even though the doctor prescribed iron. He did a scope of my stomach and a colonoscopy to check for bleeding. They were normal. I'm in menopause, so that's not the cause. Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing the anemia? Sue [Moderator: Assuming that this occurred AFTER diagnosis of CFIDS (if it happened before, you should not have gotten a CFIDS diagnosis), the likely cause is deterioration of stomach and gut health due to low level coagulation issues.
