Elimination diet: Good and bad experiences

She put me on an elimination diet that removed all:

wheat, dairy, citrus, egg, chocolate, sugar. It basically starved

me with removing all those food groups at once for 6 weeks.

,

what did you find so extreme in such a diet?

It's a simple diet to follow. Without any references to Dr Myhill, I followed

such a diet for years and felt much BETTER for it.

I ate plenty (rice, fish, vegies of all kinds, meat, poultry, almonds some nuts

etc). I didn't have fruit bec of their high sugar content. It got me out of the

rut, from practically bedridden to working full-time and able to travel again.

Unfortunately I got re-bitten by dozens of ticks and (thinking I was " cured "

from my previous illness, I had given up on my strict diet.

I now use a modified version of the same diet (I include eggs and some dairy)

and although it hasn't cured me of bad neuroborreliosis it is certainly helping

my gut and it stopped months of non-stop vertigo. I can't touch gluten foods

without getting bad true rotating vertigo after only a few days.

She still does these horrible elimination diets on patients.
