Guest guest
Dr PEterson spoke here in santa barbara. I lent my notes to my dr, but will ahve more info later. He went very fast, not offereing much in treatment info or lab info. Topic was mainly hhv-6. He was sponsored by the hhv-6 foundation? or group from santa barbara. both drs and patients attended. Also some re EBV, parvo-19 enterovirus, but not as the focus. He said hhv6 is a big player, he wants to develop a type of virus test that would test for many or all? viruses at once. He believes that mycoplasmas (I think he meant gulf war related /GArth Nicholson types ferementans /incognitus strains) are involved in cfids. Some talk of cfids causing? or leading cancers, and cfids now being taken more seriously. lots of immune system lingo over my head, but its in my notes. He quoted many studies including much research being done in Japan. He answered some questions, but dodged many including labs or tests for viral things, and the topic of molds. Says the reserach facility will not include studying lyme, said there are already places doing that. I was disappointed to hear that as the places stuyding lyme are not studying cfids, and I believe lyme is a big player in cfids, I ahve it and many others with cfids do also when tested correctly.Lyme can cause many varied symptoms mimicking cfids. the research facility will alos study autism. 2010 I think is the projected date. More info when I see my notes. Please email me if you avhe any specific questiosn and I'll check my notes (14 pages) Amy
