Guest guest
On a different vein than what has been going on, I thought I would let all know that I did a radio interview for WMET Radio in Wash., DC this afternoon. There was a plastic surgeon, a psychologist, and myself. I got in some great points on the medical reasons young women (18-21) should not get implants. The discussion was about young women getting implants for graduation and sweet sixteen presents. That is why it centered on these young women. In any case, I hope the listeners took seriously all the drawbacks I described, cause I packed a lot into the time I had. Lynda
Guest guest
Lynda, I am so glad to hear that there is talk about young girls getting implants for sweet sixteen birthdays etc. And how harmful it can be. I think it is so sad and I hope that there were mom's and young girls out there listening to you, and that you got through to some of them. I have kids in high school and you would be surpised at how many girls got implants for the prom this year. When I was there age I just got my hair done. How things have changed. Even my son's girlfriend got implants last month even after knowing what I went thru. There was no way of talking her out of it. (you know at that age they never think anything will happen to them) I think if we just keep plugging along and doing what we can do to spread the word we will be able to make some changes. Guest guest
Yes, we need to hit where it counts. When they are young. I wish there was $$ for a program in the schools to help educate young women to accept and love themselves the way they are. What a blessing that would be. Sometimes I just cannot fathom the great changes since I was that young. Guest guest
I had a radio talk show host e-mail me about doing an interview. I was wondering if someone would like to do this with her. I would rather a professional mold expert do the interview. If you're interested, please e-mail me privately. Thanks.
