Guest guest Posted February 25, 2004 Report Share Posted February 25, 2004 ANNOUNCEMENT: SATELLITE CONFERENCE HUMAN RIGHTS AT THE MARGINS:HIV/AIDS, Prisoners, Drug Users and the Law Bangkok, Thailand. 9 July 2004 The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network, the Lawyers Collective HIV/AIDS Unit(India), the International Harm Reduction Development Program, and the Thai Network of Drug Users invite you to attend a one-day satellite conference, co-hosted by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), to be held just prior to the XV International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2004) on Friday 9 July 2004 in Bangkok, Thailand. In many regions of the world, both prison settings and injecting drug use raise critical and often over-looked legal and policy issues in relation to HIV/AIDS. " Human Rights at the Margins: HIV/AIDS, Prisoners, Drug Users and the Law " will give participants from both developing and developed countries a unique opportunity to discuss and collaborate on these important issues in substantial depth. Registration fee: US$75 (Can$100 for Canadian registrants). This fee can be waived, on request, for people with HIV/AIDS and for participants from developing countries.
