Guest guest
An Osteopathic Doctor I am seeing recommended that I take a look at Preconaril (or Pleconaril), an antiviral drug that showed to be effective against enterovirus, echovirus, and others in early stage trials. It is not FDA approved, but he told me that you can get it. Sounds like it was deemed safe but not always effective. Has anyone taken this? A bit of info I found below: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleconaril http://www.stanford.edu/group/virus/flavi/2000/pleconar.htm [Moderator: CFIDSer sensistivity to drugs is a risk factor to consider with anything " deemed safe " . As a FYI, PMID: 18840470 " pleconaril-resistant coxsackievirus B3 " which is one of the CFIDS infections so it may be a partial solution for many]
