We invite you to participate in the PUBLIC MEETING and RALLY in Bangalore on

16th December, 2003, Tuesday for the Repeal of Section 377 of the Indian Penal

Code (which criminalises homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality)

PUBLIC MEETING:

Venue: Mythic Society, Opposite RBI, Nrupathunga Road, Bangalore

Time: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Speakers: 1. Siddana Gowda Patil (Karnataka State Secretary, Communist Party of

India), B. T. Venkatesh (lawyer and human rights activist), Ramdas Rao (People's

Union for Civil Liberties - Karnataka), Latha Hemchand psychiatrist), N. Babaiah

(People's Democratic Forum and others. There will also be testimonies by five

sexuality minorities (people identifying themselves as hijra, kothi,

double-decker, lesbian etc..).

RALLY:

ROUTE: Chikka Lalbagh (near Upperpet Police Station, Majestic) to Chief

Minister's Residence via City Railway Station and Anand Rao Circle

TIME: starts at 5:45 PM
