Guest guest
Hi all This is my first time posting. A bit of background on me: I got mercury poisoning from a broken thermometer in the mid 90's (hair test levels were off the chart!). Arsenic also tested very high. After 2 years of oral chelation with DMPS and ALA, I became MCS. I also had exposure to toxic fumes in '98 at a garbage dump fire in Mexico and then again in '01 after 9/11. My immune system was definitely hit by those events and I developed extensive food allergies overnight after the Mexico incident. I also have Crohn's Disease and am currently struggling with a 7 month flare that is not responding to conventional medicine. A few weeks ago, it got really hot and muggy here in NYC. All of a sudden, I was having trouble breathing at night. Around that time, my mom brought me some clothes she was storing and they smelled really musty to me. After that, it seemed like all the clothes in my closet smelled bad. Now all 3 of my closets smell very musty to me and I can't wear any of the clothes and I definitely react when I open the door to them. I have had MCS for about 2 years. Coincidentally, around the same time that my MCS got noticeable, there was a big flood in the apt above me and my ceiling came down (along with all the water). They repaired it, resanded my floor, and it looked great. But I always wondered if they did it too fast because the paint around the top of my walls peeled and cracked immediately. And they didn't touch the ceilings in the closets. I just had a mold tester come in and am waiting for the report. Over the phone, he told me it tested very clean; there were a bunch of different spores (I think he even mentioned Aspergillus, but not Stachy.) but at very low levels. He claims that even with MCS it is too low to react to. Well, my body is telling me differently. I suspect that this means I should move out, but that I have no recourse with the landlord since the report will show very low mold levels. Any advice? If there are very low levels, can my stuff be saved?? I took the VCS test on Dr Shoemaker's site and tested positive. I ordered Mold Warriors. Should I be going to land to see him or is a phone consult good enough? Would love some guidance....THANKS!
Guest guest
Hi Meredith, Take a lower dose to begin with so that your body slowly gets used to LDN. If your legs get stiff or if you have side effects do not panic, it typically works its way through pretty quickly. Can I send you a copy of the Welcome e-mail for LDN? It is mostly info for MS, but if you have another reason for taking LDN, you might still find some useful info in there.
