Valley Fever is endemic in the rock strata of the entire western part of the US, and almost everyone who lives in the west gets exposed to it sooner or later. Most people get it as little kids, as a flu type illness, and most get over it with no one the wiser. Some get asthma, some get worse once in a while. It is easier to get over when you are a kid- like chicken pox. I seriously doubt that he will get anything out of sueing for damages, given the ubiquitous nature of the pathogen. It would be like suing because you got SARS or Lyme disease or something.
Guest guest
I forgot to mention that one of my classmates in CA died from this- she was pregnant and her son was born retarded; she was a horticulture student. Another colleague caught it working a paleontological dig in Utah, he and his buddy nearly died. But, the docs knew what it was right away, and there was no delay in treatment.
