Guest guest
The presence of lesser molds is a warning that conditions may be propitious for toxin forming colonies elsewhere, but I doubt if they can get a foothold on something like a sweater under normal circumstances. I wouldn't test a sweater. It would only be an indication of the presence of a " mother colony " and I better start looking for it. Guest guest
, If it is lessor type of mold, then just wash it is okay? Or, out of preponderous of caution, toss it? I have been washing and bleaching cottons, which is about all I wear. I have not had that happen with clothes I kept, but with rags. when I had stuff from my basement that was moldy, I tossed it. I am starting to react to touching moldy or toxic things by having my hands get stiff and achey, so out it goes.

Guest guest
Sometimes, but otherwise I have to toss it anyway. Some of my clothes are new enough not to be affected by this, so I use just a cup or so of Borax in each full load, and I have a big washer. So, 1/2 c in a samll load. I am not working anyway, so if something is stained or worn looking, it doesn't matter, if it is otherwise safe to wear. I have to rinse an extra rinse cycle, and then air them after drying. > > , > > If it is lessor type of mold, then just wash it is okay?
