Guest guest
Hi Angelika, I'm not a mold expert, but I have MCS. And I know that the Environmental Health Center in Dallas is considered the premiere place for Environmental Illness/MCS treatment; people come from all over the world to be seen by Dr Rea there. I cannot say what they do for mold though. For MCS I know that preservative free allergy testing and neutralization shots are sometimes used as well as an intensive sauna therapy program. You could call them to find out exactly what kind of treatments they use for mold. I do know someone who went there a couple years ago for MCS and toxic mold exposure. Her MCS improved after Dallas but once she went back to the real world, her symptoms worsened. She is now trying Cholestyramine and says she is feeling much better after just a few days. Don't know if that helps any.... Guest guest
Considering that MCSers laid into me for claiming that I abated MCS to the point of insignificance through mold avoidance even harder than how bitterly the denier doctors fought me over the sheer existence of MCS, it's going to be interesting to see how the relationship between mold and chemical sensitivity developes. As Dr Shoemaker says, I have yet to see an MCSer who was not a mold responder - yet few were even aware of the mold component. Any attempt to make them aware of the myctoxin connection consistently makes MCSer even more upset than denier doctors are when they are contradicted by MCS patients. We have seen that drs show absolutely no regret, reomorse nor even a twinge of self doubt after having been scientifically shown that they were completely wrong to so eagerly contradict and deny the experience of people who had better information. It will be interesting to find out if MCSers are the same as doctors. -

It increases circulation and helps relive toxic congestion to the liver as well. Aurora -- Aurora Levins Morales, Ph. Shoemaker and I have yet to see an MCSer who isn't a mold responder meaning that mold responders respond to mold and MCSers do too. Unless those people in Vegas are only having a problem with the allergic component of mold, their illness is a reaction to mycotoxins, which means these people are sensitive to chemicals from mold. Gosh, one might even say that it was " MCS " . (Maybe they should give those " Vegas " machines a try) And it appears that a lot of MCSers may not be aware that mold can be a driving force as much as other chemicals since a lot of them are suffering from the misperception that mold is just an allergy and pay no special attention to exposures. " obsessive " ? Hey, that's the exact word the doctors use when people complain bitterly about mold. Glad to be " obsessive " then because I dragged myself out this despite all their contradictions, intransigence and denial while less " obsessed " people are still getting their butts kicked. I think that may have been the reason Dr Shoemaker so kindly subtitled my chapter " History Doesn't Remember the Critics " . We obsessive types just go ahead with our obsessions and don't listen to the critics. -
Guest guest
stacy, re dust off story, It is sad but unfortunately, sometimes children have a hard time and don't communicate with their parents. My husband is a cop and he sees the worst things every day. The child also has to learn to be comfortable to want to talk to their parents even before a tradegy occurs. Those my first son's tragedy was different ie cancer. I still don't wish that on anyone. Many time children don't know how to express them selves even as they get older, and that can be a big problem. You don't know how they are feeling. jeanne
