The vanishing of periods and unexplained weight gain (and loss) is exactly what I endured this last years. I ballooned almost 30 pounds, hair loss - they thought the same thing - thyroid. Tests came back negative. Then I dropped it all. Then my periods stopped four months ago - they said I was getting older. Periods stopping at 42??? I mean just flat out stopped. Next stop - psychiatrist?? No way. I saw a specialist. How badly I was dosed by the mold found in my residence is yet to be determined. Anyway - sorry all - I had to respond to this post.
