Guest guest
Hi , I've been realizing I feel better when I'm away from my home, so I guess I'm not finished either. What has probably made the difference is the heat and humidity now has stimulated some problem areas that I didn't get first time around. Guest guest
Swamp coolers do not have to leak to be a problem. A swamp cooler only works in very dry climates, via the process of water evaporation, a process which removes heat from the air. The evaporator section is continuously wet, and the duct work coming from the evaporator is extremely humid. All this is ideal mold breeding environment. Swamp coolers, and associated ductwork, should be regularly cleaned and disinfected with bleach. Better yet, replace them with conventional air conditioning, which can also cool on the rare rainy days when swamp coolers are useless. Regular air conditioner inner works also should be regularly cleaned. Date: Fri, 22 Jul 2005 18:33:35 -0000 From: " kl_clayton " <kl_clayton@...> Subject: oh no, not again ................. My in laws house, however has a quite large mold problem, I diagnosed it as a leaking swamp cooler, and it is coming from a access panel. I assume it is for the hvac system. My hubby finally had to tell them about it- he really didn't want to, but I was incapacitated and had to move to a cleaner room for the last 2 days (with the windows open, etc.) They were not very receptive to the idea of having a sick house. Lucky for me I was reading the posts when others talked about this phenomena (the not me or my house). So I wasn't shocked or heart broken, I just had to take care of myself, whether anyone liked it or not. Thanks for listening,
