Regarding amalgam usage. I have been told that in Finland they just stopped

using amalgams some time ago. Why is it that the US is falling so far behind

in so many areas? Must be $$$$!

Hiya Nil

MoM = Mg hydroxide

Epsom Salts = Mg sulphate (by the way, one orthomolecular doc recommends

this as an oral Mg source.

There are TWO different tests: one for DHEA and the other for DHEA-S.

Dr. Sheeley, who's book I wrote about a few days ago, feels that the DHEA

test is a better indicator and recommends that the DHEA level for optimal

health be at the age 30 level and that DHEA levels be adjusted accordingly

via any number of methods, not limited to DHEA oral supplementation.

I forgot to ask are they treating your varices/ How?

jerry

Hi Jerry,

They are treating my varacies with nadolol - my dosage has increased twice in the last 3 months - 20mg to 40mg, to 40 2xdaily. My GI and the U seem to think this is a much better way to go than banding and so far, fingers crossed, I haven't had a bleed. I think they caught it early enough.

Clucky - getting maternal - wanting to have a baby etc.

Clucky like a hen will get when she will sit on eggs forever waiting for

them to hatch - forget the fact they came from the supermarket!!

Hope this answers your question

Connection Between Auto Immune Deficiencies and Hashimoto's Disease

I am a teacher who got extremely sick from exposure to toxic mold in a

public school. The illness lingered for over 5 years. I was diagnosed with

Environmental asthma and Multiple Chemical Sensitivity as well as having lost

45% of

my breathing capacity. Recently, I saw a new allergist who asked me many

questions about my case history. One of the problems I had was infertility and

another a lump that frequently returned to my neck.

He told me that the links between autoimmune thyroid diseases and other

autoimmune diseases are known but not fully understood. In other words, it is

possible that you as well as members of the same family may suffer the same or

other auto-immune diseases and that it is important for your genetic family

members to be aware of that link. He also diagnosed me with Hashimoto's disease

and said that even though the bloodwork would not show it at this time,

research has shown that the drug syntroid which is used to treat Hashimotos

also

helps treat toxic mold.

It is working for me and it does make sense. My worst symptom was always

that horrible tightening of the throat and metallic taste that I experienced

when it was constricting. People with Hashimotos have a problem with the thyroid

gland in the neck. If it cuts off your breathing and ability to swallow, it

sort of makes sense.

I hope that this is helpful. Please pass this info to your treating

physicians!

I was on synthroid for a few years, and it did help me. But not enough, I didn't

know there

was mold here.

Now I have my throat swelling for the last few years, my thyroid seems to be

fine. It may

be from sinus draining, allergies, sinusitis, which I am being treated for. also

have the

metallic taste, I didn't know what it was from.

Yes, I've seen this great story. Our problem is that has severe MCS,

so cannot be around wood smoke whatsoever. Otherwise a yurt would be

perfect. We're going to figure this out one way or another!

There is an interview on planet thrive (planetthrive.com, I think that's the
