Sheriff Larry says the mold was found in the 9-1-1 center at the beginning of the year. The center is being moved to the building that houses the sheriff's administrative offices. \ Air filters have been installed while the move progresses. The 12- bed jail was changed last year from an overnight facility to a 12- hour holding site because its age prevented officials from obtaining sufficient insurance coverage. Most prisoners are held in other area jails. has proposed building a one-point-three million-dollar, 48-bed jail. If approved by county commissioners, it could be completed next year.
