Guest guest
The process may be called photohydroioniziation. The common systems use a germicidal UV bulb operating at 254 nm which does create ozone which is immediately converted by the catalytic effects of titanium dioxide into hydroxyl radicals and other forms of advanced oxygen. The ozone is completely consumed by a well designed system leaving an abundance of advanced oxygen like an invisible mist or fog of hydrogen peroxide. The effect is very germicidal and reduces mold quickly. It also reduces [chemically speaking] almost all odors into their basic components of hydrogen, oxygen, water and carbon dioxide. The process is becoming very popular where there is an aversion to ozone systems as all ozone is consumed in the presence of the UV and the titanium dioxide.. While I don't know the specifications of the OzoneLite I imagine it may depend on a relative humidity of greater than 18% and therefore might not work well in the Arizona climates. Other systems with built in hygroscopic features work well in the humidity range of 9% through 90%. Glad to hear the Ozone Lite works well.
