I was just going to post similar even with home next door. Full of mold, so

bad as soon as I went in there to look reacted badly and was ill for week;

even told the real estate agent about this and she agreed because she was

reacting and generally does not. Had posted this to the list. Real Estate

agent a few weeks later told me they are discussing what to do with the

problem but owners couldn't afford to remediate. Next I heard they replaced

some carpet and painted the house.

My husband noticed yesterday the " for sale " sign was removed; today I met

the new owners outside. Course will not enter that house. I'm concerned

they will become ill. Last owner was in there 2 years; had 4 small

children. Children always were ill, husband and wife had personality

changes for the worse while living in there (similar to road rages). They

didn't believe me about the mold issues. Much water damage in that house,

every wall was full of molds, attic (I looked for a few seconds was black

with mold). I did see the home inspector and even posted to this group and

mentioned mold issue to the inspector. He said he's only doing visual; lol

and sigh I did visual and saw the mold. Guess he didn't advise his clients

of damage. Seem much of this cover-up is going on in Houston.

The new owners do not speak English well however I plan next time I see them

to ask if he noticed the mold and/or was informed of the water damage and

mold problems. Noticed they are spending money on having all the old,

overgrown plants removed from the outside and new owner informed me he's

planning on replacing them with healthy fruit trees to consume. He's just

excited being from California to buy this home which would cost 4 times as

much in CA.

For you since you no longer own the home and are legally protected with full

disclosure I would loving suggest that you inform the new owners of the

problems. They need to know. Once you tell them it's not your

responsibility. Please do give them a print-out of the mold facts, how it

affects us physically and warn them! I'm proud of you for your concern and

compassion for them.
