Guest guest
Hi Jess, (sorry for the delay in responding) Our children don't always fit nicely into a diagnosis. The symptoms they have depend on the parts of the brain malfunctioning. Hopefully it won't be long til the focus is on the reason, rather than a label to describe it. When my son was four I was told he had ADHD and needed some speech therapy. There was a notation mixed with other scribbles that said PDD? He was later diagnosed as Aspergers. Sometimes there's confusion about food sensitivities. There are a number of studies that show antibodies against wheat and dairy proteins. Having antibodies against wheat doesn't mean it's Celiac disease. A small percentage could have Celiac if they also have that genetic background. I don't think it's very common. We follow a diet that removes all milk, whole wheat proteins, etc. that's available online here. http://www.nids.net/diet.htm If you haven't done so already, I'd get in contact with Kathy re: Northern New York Clinic- email JOSKAT95@... I hope that helps a little Cheryl >Hi! Guest guest
Hi, and Welcome to the group. I found this group about 6 weeks ago, and am extremely glad I did, because I have gotten more information within the past 6 weeks, than I was able to get during the past 4 years. You stated you were being treated by Dr. Shaller. Does that mean you live in Pa.? I live about 20 miles to the northwest of Philadelphia. Good luck to you and your family.
