Leptin is just confusing enough that a lot of people will be intrigued and think they must be onto something, but in the end they will find leptin as a focus to be a red herring or misdirector in regard to the practicalities of weight loss. Guest guest
Hi Carol, have you read his article on cfs/fm/lyme disease? http://jackkruse.com/hey-lyme-disease-meet-leptin/ He is a neurologist and explains about gut inflammation caused by infections and this is caused by biotoxins and how it is causing brain inflammation. The toxins are stored in fat tissues. I find it had to believe that someone with his creditentials is just trying to sell a new fad. " Upon graduating with his Bachelors degree, Dr. Kruse decided to leave New York to attend the University of Connecticut where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD). From U Conn, Dr. Kruse went on to the Louisiana State University School of Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. At LSU, he interned and served as a resident in Maxillofacial Surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. From 1993 to 1999 Dr. Kruse served first as an intern in General Surgery, and then as a resident in Neurosurgery in the L.S.U. Department of Neurosurgery, serving as Chief Resident 1998 to 1999. The toxins > are stored in fat tissues. I read a number of his articles in the last month. Relationship between gut, nervous system, immunity, has been pervasive in naturopathic type medicine, and he is expanding on this. Dysbiosis analysis and treatment is coming along in recent times. Toxic metabolites resulting from very fast metabolism of ingested substances and environmental toxins via some CYP450 enzymes are a form of endogenous biotoxin that can contribute to brain inflammation. Many persons of EUropean ancestry are genetically predisposed to this. > I find it had to believe that someone with his creditentials > is just trying to sell a new fad. I don't believe that's necessarily the intention, but it is a likely result. > " Upon graduating with his Bachelors degree, Dr. Kruse > decided to leave New York to attend the University of > Connecticut where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine > degree (DMD). > > From U Conn, Dr. Kruse went on to the Louisiana State > University School of Medicine where he earned his > Doctor of Medicine. My earlier comment was that I didn't feel a leptin focus was going to be practical with regard to weight loss - just an idea to consider. Anyone interested can prove or disprove this to themselves over time. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, In my other post, I was referring to the article below. It is pretty interesting. One of the main things that stood out for me is the role that fat plays as many of us have commented that our body's have trouble handling fat in our diet. I too would be interested in what others think about Dr. Kruse's article and diagram. Kay ________________________________ From: crusaderD <dennybrand@...> Sent: Friday, January 20, 2012 6:06 AM Subject: Biotoxins cfs/FM/Lyme & Leptin  Hi I have been reading Dr Jack Kruse's leptin resistance blog, he is a neurologist and the following blog explains what the biotoxins are doing in cfs/FM/Lyme disease. Very informative blog. http://jackkruse.com/hey-lyme-disease-meet-leptin/ Be interested to hear what others think about this.
