Guest guest
Mold could keep Blanco out of mansion until fall http://2theadvocate.com/stories/072805/new_mold01.shtml By BRETT TROXLER btroxler@... 2theadvocate.com staff From a report by News 2's Pastorek jp@... Gov. Kathleen Blanco said Thursday she does not expect to move back into the governor's mansion until September -- at the earliest. Blanco was forced to move out in June because of mold that was discovered in the historic home's air conditioning system. " They're doing a lot of duct work right now and putting some sort of rubberized substance in the duct to make it mold resistant, " Blanco said. " It's a huge project. We knew that from the beginning, and that, I suppose, was long overdue. The mansion was built in 1963 and the duct work dates back to then. The project is expected to cost around $500,000. In the meantime Blanco's family is renting another home in Baton Rouge. As reported July 28 on News 2 Louisiana. If you have information or comments related to this story, e-mail them to news@....
