Cortisol is normally extremely low around 12M,

but we do need some.

You know that I'm not a fan of HC, for many reasons,

including invoking feedback loops, deranged electrolytes

esp potassium etc etc etc.

Something to try instead of HC,

100 mg pantothenic acid as you're beginning to eat dinner,

to give some extra adrenal support in the hours ahead.

I have several dosages of panto acid around for flexibility

as needed, Vitamin Shoppe has 100 mg, 250 mg, 500 mg.

More in terms of amount is not necessarily better.

You want the right amount for the right situation, at the

right time.

don't clean! my body reacts differently to the same supplement at times. i think

we are mysteries. ( i wrote myseries) i totally exhausted myself trying new

treatments recently and it is expensive. i tried old treatments, remembering

having good results for awhile and not remembering side effects or why i stopped

taking them.

Hi Carol,

Yes, I do remember that you are not a fan of HC. To be honest, I am not a

proponent. I did do a 9 month trial a couple of years back. I felt some relief

but didn't stay on it.

So, this has been the first time in 2 or 3 years that I have had any HC. But

the symptoms pointed to worsened adrenal fatigue so I tried 10mg and within an

hour I felt better.

As you write about HC deranging electrolytes - that would also describe what the

ATP Fuel seems to have done - how interesting.

I do have Pantho. acid around - not sure what dosage but will definitely play

with this.

Many thanks for your suggestion - and also the Reverse T3 suggestion. I have

been attempting to address the causes - new bloodwork at the end of the month

will show my progress. For some reason, I don't think it has resolved.

So how low is too low so that we shouldn't take the phosphatidyl serine complex?

Do you or anybody know?

Thank you,

I don't even like phos.serine for high cortisol, much

less normal or low.

See my article " PS " and " highcort2 " for more info,

Hi Gail,

Sorry, forgot to reply. I think you got a good response though.

Phos. Serine does lower cortisol so most of us shouldn't take it. There are

some people who have high cortisol but I am not crazy about this supplement even

then because you have little control over cortisol levels through the day and

anecdotal evidence seems to show that the effect is long lasting. I do believe

Rich Van K. removed this supplement and replaced it with something similar that

doesn't lower cortisol in the Simplified Yasko Protocol.

Unless you were referring to the Pantho. Acid suggestion from Carol.

Okay, I think I have an answer and I don't think it was the ATP Fuel.

When I started the ATP Fuel, I also started on the new generic valacyclovir that

I was given with my new insurance. Since I have done well on several different

manufacturers of generic Valtrex, I didn't think this was the reason for my

downslide so I blamed it on the ATP Fuel.

With Steve's help, I believe that my downslide was due to a different

formulation of valacyclovir. Within two days of taking a different valacyclovir

(made by Cipla that I rec'd from India), I was 80% better. Within 4 days, I was

90% better. I still have some lingering issues that I believe are depleted

electrolytes and possibly depleted glutathione which was making my POTS worse.

I have had a full endocrine workup but do not have the tests yet and one from

just before the two meds, so I may have more concrete answers.

While I am not 100% back to where I was before these two meds, I am almost

there.

So, my report of adverse effect from ATP Fuel was incorrect (I will start the

ATP Fuel once I feel stabilized and stronger).
