Guest guest
My glutahione GSH/Genova blood test showed 932 range >669 and is normal. But, my detoxigenomic tests showed glutahione conjugation /glutahione s- transferase): present GSTM1 +- GSTP1 -- GSTP1 Does anyone know how to interpret this? what does " present " (good or bad?) It seems my glutahione is impaired in this test. But the blood test says it is ok. Are theytesting differetn things? Is the detoxigenomic test indicating only a potential problem area or actual problem? why are these two tests not in agreement? thanks, Amy
Guest guest
These are two different tests. One is a current snapshot of your GSH levels on the day of the blood test. The other test is your genetic information on the possible mutations of the glutathione system. Together they make a complete picture. They are not contradicting the other. Genova Diagnostics usually writes an explanation on the test results. You have one polymorphism so you may experience problems with detoxification.
