Hi, all.

I respect people's choice of a vegan diet, but I just want to urge you to

supplement vitamin B12 if you have chosen this type of diet. A vegan diet does

not supply enough vitamin B12.

This is particularly important in chronic fatigue syndrome, where there is a

functional vitamin B12 deficiency that results from glutathione depletion.

Once a person has developed chronic fatigue syndrome, vitamin B12 must be taken

in large dosage to overcome the functional B12 deficiency. In order to get

enough into the blood to overcome this, it is necessary to take it sublingually

or by injection. In the simplified methylation protocol for ME/CFS, the

sublingual dosage of hydroxocobalamin is suggested at 2 milligrams (2,000

micrograms) per day. It is also necessary to take an active form of folate

(preferably methylfolate) orally at and RDA-level dosage (a few hundred

micrograms per day).

Best regards,

Rich
