Barb, sodium percarbonate is the active ingredient in OxiClean. Used to purchase OxiClean until they changed their formulation to include fragrances to which I was reacting http://www.oxicleanpro.com/oxiclean-stain-remover.html phoned them and they confirmed. Was told there still is a pure formula available at Target made for babies. And there are other " oxi-products " on the market that contain the sodium percarbonate. It only works though mixed with very hot water. That's a drawback when I'm cleaning my wood deck, bricks on home, concrete sidewalk, etc but I'm willing to do this to be safe. Guest guest
Rosie, Thanks. I have hard water and use baking soda in wash to make it soft/wetter. Do you think I could use baking soda with oxyclean product? ----- Original Message ----- From: " Healthier4all " <Healthier4All@...> > > Barb, sodium percarbonate is the active ingredient in OxiClean. Do > you think I could use baking soda with oxyclean product? You are welcome. Barbara you asked a good question! I honestly do not know if the baking soda would somehow interact (neutralize) the actions of the Oxiclean. Not a chemist, an herbalist. Best suggestion is to contact the company (link I gave) you and ask them. Give them a call and tell us what they say. FYI I also have hard water and will use a little baking soda in the rinse.
