Guest guest
{Moderator: Removed solicitation in signature} I see CFS and thyroid as affects of not enough nutrients and too much toxicity. Thyroid is low because one's metabolism is compromised and can't keep up with normal thryoid hormone levels. Most docs reverse cause and effect and assume people fatigue because there is a problem with the thyroid system. Thyroid hormone is like the gas petal and the metabolism is like the fuel tank. What good will it do to push down to go faster when you don't have enough fuel and your body needs to slow down to get better mpg to go further. Many people try to treat thyoid by taking more hormone but this has limited benefit without more fuel produced by digestion, the liver, sleeping more, etc. Metabolism is slow because there is not enough nutrients, toxicity blocking nutrient uptake, and there is hormonal chaos from too much sugar in the diet. If there is a problem with the thyroid, it is often because the hormone is impaired by toxins in the halogen group: chlorine, floride, and bromine that replace iodine that is also a halogen. T4 thyroid hormone is tyrosine with 4 iodine molecules attached. If chlorine is attached instead you get a fake hormone that shows up normal on tests but the body cannot use it. Fascinating stuff. Guest guest
If you don't mind me asking stupid questions.....I have an upcoming appt with an endocrinologist & I'm almost certain he won't understand these issues either. Sounds like you wouldn't want to take hormones because it would stress your system more? Would taking iodine supplementation be more beneficial? I actually take compounded T3/T4 plus I added iodine on my own. I obviously don't know what I'm doing and doctors are equally ignorant. I have had some reduction of symptoms by taking T3/T4, but my levels are still low.
