there is a connection but you really can never know for sure. high antibodies

just SUGGEST reactivation (unless its high IgM antibodies, in which case its

active for sure).

you can always get a PCR test but even those arent always accurate. heck, even a

spinal tap might not show it. now testing a piece of brain tissue might do

it......

Hi Joy and EveryOne,

This brings up a question for me.

I tested high for antibodies to HHV6, EBV and Parvo virus but antibodies, even

high ones above the normal range, don't necessarily indicate an active

infection. Still something is causing the ME and relapses I have been having for

years. My theory that the viruses mentioned above reactivate or it could be a

retrovirus....or.....

Anybody have any ideas about the connection between high antibodies and

reactivation?

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev

I'm not the only one with HHV6, EBV, parvo, etc. Hmmm. I don't feel I am

contagious but can sure tell when my glands under my throat swell and

hurt. I used to have constant sore throats until Dr. Dantini had me do a

course of Valtrex (no generic back in 2003). I still can tell when I am

needed to add antivirals heavier in my system (like last week when I

hurt ALL over, from my fingers to my toes, it was awful). I quit doing

retesting (no health insurance) because it waxes and wanes. Yes,

something is causing all this ... wish we could all have answers.
