Guest guest
Like , going on HRT made a difference in my sleep. Not because I was having night flashes, but because you can't sleep without progesterone. Mine was below the detectable level. I'm on the food rotation diet, I take melatonin, but I couldn't take the antiviral meds. Made me nauseous and after 8 weeks of that, I called it quits. I have a microcurrent machine with a setting for viruses I'm going to try for the EBV, HHV6, and CMV. Dr. Dantini says that melatonin and cortisol work opposite each other and that we wake up tired and our bodies keep putting out melatonin to put us back to sleep. I've tried his suggestion of bright light in the a.m. but it doesn't work for me. My microcurrent machine also has a program for raising cortisol and one for calming cortisol at night. Maybe that will work. CFS/fibro are very complicated. I hope to get better.
Guest guest
" was going on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) as I was also awakening every hour with hot flashes (now only once about 4 AM). It took six months on a food allergy rotation diet, antiviral meds, melatonin, HRT to get enough rest to where I feel like I kind of " woke up " and was more me again. I got more done in the seventh month than I had two years prior. " Hi , It sounds like you're in a much better place now than when this all began.... do you have time to say any particulars, as in which HRT you're doing, what anti-viral meds- whether pharma or herbal, etc- seem to help, & perhaps some you tried that bombed? Were you allergic to any foods? Are you seeing a 'regular' M.D. or alternative practitioner or both or none... Last, were you given differential diagnoses and that was the reason for the 2 years not getting better? (If I interpreted your msg right. Knowing me lately, I probably didn't). I'm from NorCal but went to the midwest for grad school then got stuck here. I'm sure were I back in CA taking care of this would not be such a drama. Maybe it would, but the percentage of open minds increases each degree West from here in my exp. HRT: for me has been prometrium capsules (which just went generic!) and stuff like red clover. I wasn't able to sleep for a long time due to feeling set on fire then getting dumped in a frozen lake. In a way, tha texp. was harder than this, & for some reason I didn't get help until a few years into it. The prometrium helped a lot. I can't do estrogen due to family history with blood clots & having a blood disorder. So they say. I'm going to get something over the counter next time I crawl out this apt. & see how it goes. I eat a lot of soybean, soy milk, etc. anyway. I know what I have is viral because it feels that way. I've tried to trace how/where this all began, because I was in the shape of my life last summer right before I got the upper resp. infection that seemed to lead to this, then the EBV titer, which I don't even know whether is very high or not- 173 capsid or whatever. I do know over-training & an accident can be factors, both of which were bigtime factors. Looking back, do you see any factors you think may have begun the illness? I know this is different for everyone, etc., but whatever the **$% led to this in the 1st place, I'm so never repeating again. Before this I was rarely ever sick, & if sick was the last to get whatever was going around. Super-careful with anti-bio wipes, carrying on me, not opening doors with bare hand, etc., which did me well 49 years... Thank you & feel better, everyone (yeah, right) =)
Guest guest
, What microcurrent machine are you using? Thanks, Ellen
Guest guest
I use one that is sold by Frequency Specific Microcurrent practitioners. Google it and it'll come up. My MD has a practitioner in her office and suggested I try it. First thing she did was clear my awful brain fog (with a program for concussion), then she worked on my neck pain and other body pain. Got them way down. I got a small inheritance and bought the home unit. Last week I went to see her and she changed some of the programs on it. I did the Adrenal Quiet just before bed last night and was almost asleep before it ended (21 min) although it usually takes me 45 min to fall asleep. We'll see if it continues or if it was placebo effect.
Guest guest
, I've heard great things about those machines, but I thought you were required to get special training in order to purchase one. How did you get around that? May I ask him what you paid for it? Thanks, Ellen I use one that is sold by Frequency Specific Microcurrent practitioners. Google it and it'll come up. Guest guest
I bought the home unit. You don't need specialized training to use it - it has present programs on it that can be taken on and off as your needs change. I believe it was $2,500. Yes, that was a lot but it gave me relief from my neck and shoulder pain that no one else could fix. Now I'm using it for sleep, viruses, soft tissue pain, IBS, and adrenal issues. There is training you can take to know how to use it better but I haven't bothered.
Guest guest
Hi , Is the micro current machine along the same principles of neuro feedback? Sorry pretty clueless about this field of therapy Many thanks bel > > I bought the home unit.
