Thank you for all the information you share with us. Very much appreciated!

Is the same phenomenon behind a low number of natural killer cells or does that

have a different cause?

I don't know the answer to this question. I think that the number of NK cells

depends on stimulation by cytokines. Cytokines are an active area of research

in ME/CFS, but I don't think that anyone completely understands their patterns

yet.

Does WBC (white blood count) reflect level of NK activity?

my blood cell counts have always been normal but my nk cells are very low, at

one point they were at 2!

My WBC has run on the low side for years, even below normal one time. Bu it is

usually just in the bottom part of the normal range. I have only had my NK cells

tested once and it was only 4. Deb

Where a result falls within the reference range

(considered as a spectrum) can be useful info.
