Guest guest
Rick, Thank you for all the information you share with us. Very much appreciated! Is the same phenomenon behind a low number of natural killer cells or does that have a different cause? Guest guest
Hi, Bev. I don't know the answer to this question. I think that the number of NK cells depends on stimulation by cytokines. Cytokines are an active area of research in ME/CFS, but I don't think that anyone completely understands their patterns yet. Guest guest
my blood cell counts have always been normal but my nk cells are very low, at one point they were at 2! ________________________________ From: cbwillis9 <cbwillis9@...> Sent: Tuesday, May 29, 2012 4:40:58 PM Subject: Re: Natural killer cells, perforin and glutathione  " rvankonynen " <richvank@...> wrote: > I think that the number of NK cells depends on stimulation > by cytokines. Guest guest
My WBC has run on the low side for years, even below normal one time. Bu it is usually just in the bottom part of the normal range. I have only had my NK cells tested once and it was only 4. Guest guest
Where a result falls within the reference range (considered as a spectrum) can be useful info.
