How I Make My Yogurt Which May, or May Not, Still Be MAF

Hi EveryOne,

FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT! THIS IS HOW I MAKE MY YOGURT! IT DOES NOT NECESSARILY

HAVE THE SAME, OR ANY, MAF INGREDIENTS THAT I STARTED WITH. ONLY A LAB COULD

TELL THAT AND I DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO A LAB.

I am happy to share how I make my yogurt as long as everyone understands that it

may, or may not, be the same as what I started with. It may or may not still be

MAF yogurt! I honestly don't know! I researched it for several months to find

out how to do it but whether it works or not is unknown.

I started with the MAF 878 yogurt from Dr Enlander and then used 6 ounces of

that to make the first batch of yogurt. I did keep some of the original MAF 878

batch in the freezer in case something happens to my culture but so far, it

seems to be working just fine to produce new batches of good tasting yogurt from

each successive batch.

I use Organic whole milk, 42 ounces. I bought a Euro Cuisine Automatic Yogurt

Maker that makes seven six ounce cups at a time. I eat six and save the last

one for the next batch. Keeping the temperature even is important while it

cultures that is why I use the machine. As per the directions that came with the

machine, I bring the milk to a 180 F degrees and let it cool to 110 F degrees. I

bought a small thermometer to check the temperature of the milk. When it has

cooled to 110F I add 6 ounces of the yogurt from the previous batch, mix it well

with the milk just heated and cooled and put it into the glass jars of the

yogurt maker. I set it for five hours and when it is done, let it cool and then

refrigerate it.

Each time I need a new batch, I take one jar of yogurt from the refrigerator and

add it to the heated and cooled 42 ounces of milk and proceed according to the

directions that come with the Yogurt maker. I don't know whether or not it is

MAF Yogurt but it does make good tasting homemade yogurt. I am sure other

methods would work as well as long as the temperature is kept even during the

incubation period. I would recommend using glass containers rather than plastic

and the best milk you can get.

Hope this is helpful.

Peace, Love and Harmony,

Bev
