They share features of fatigue and cognitive dysfunction making it difficult to differentiate them. Autism spectrum disorders are classified as neurological developmental disorders. Several studies have been carried out to find a candidate biomarker linked to the development of these disorders, however, still no reliable biomarker has been found.
