Guest guest
Just watched partially a video of Montoya from Stanford - too exhausted to watch in full. He talks about positive results using valgonciclovir. Looks like it is used primarly for CMV (googled). Anyone tried this? Any understanding of the difference between valacyclovir & valgonciclovir? Guest guest
valacyclovir is valtrex, valgancyclovir is valcyte. valcyte is effective against cmv and hhv6 usually. valtrex is effective against ebv i think....and herpes zoster/herpes simplex, etc etc.  i tried both drugs for 3 years but they didnt help me. ________________________________ From: Joy <joyhealth08@...> Sent: Monday, May 14, 2012 6:13:47 PM Subject: Valgonciclovir  Just watched partially a video of Montoya from Stanford - too exhausted to watch in full. Guest guest
The Montoya vid was the 1st thing I saw that gave me hope. I can't get my mitts on any anti-viral at the moment as I'm dealing with a hosp. in the middle of nowhere 30 years behind current research. I told " my " doctor about Montoya and that even ppl sick 20 years have gotten lives back.... his only response was Stanford U. researchers are " crocks " - Mayo's, too. (as an aside, I've begun recording every doc visit, as they've been so outrageous, & I let them know I'm doing so.) If anyone knows how to get these meds dispensed, please let us know. Good luck, all CL
Guest guest
i dont even know if i would waste time with antivirals .... why not consider going straight to gcmaf? ________________________________ From: Human Being <certainlights@...> " " < > Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2012 9:22:27 PM Subject: Re: Valgonciclovir  The Montoya vid was the 1st thing I saw that gave me hope. Guest guest
I contacted Dr. Dantini (in Florida, found him on the internet) who does phone consults and he gave me prescriptions for antivirals (you can get generics now). You will need to go to a local lab and do viral testing which results are sent to him, so there is extra cost outside of insurance. I probably spent $2000 total for his services and the lab testing but it was worth it. Whenever you have a doctor that does not believe in you, say NEXT!?! and move on. I read here years ago (and it's true) that we go to 12-15 doctors before we find someone who helps us. Remember, mainstream doctors have been trained to do " bandaid therapy, " take a lot of tests, prescribe a lot of drugs, and not look at other alternative treatments. And we've all tried up to 150 different drugs/supplements before finding things that work. Sad but true. Praying for help for you. in La Selva Beach CA On 5/15/2012 6:22 PM, Human Being wrote: > > The Montoya vid was the 1st thing I saw that gave me hope. Guest guest
I appreciate you wanton to try this treatment, have the testing and take the anti virals, as I would too, but t is important to remember that not everyone responds to anti virals, it seems for some it helps a lot, for others it doesn't. Guest guest
Sue, My understanding is that valcyte is like the old Ampligen. Everyone feels worse (much worse) before they feel better. Did you find this to be true? And I understand that some people do not feel better immediately when they start Valtrex (which was not my experience). Did you have " die-off " symptoms when you were started Valtrex? I know viruses don't produce die-off symptoms but that is the feeling that people have reported. Did you feel any better while on Valtrex? The reason that I ask is that I feel so much better on Valtrex but within a week of stopping, the symptoms come back. After a month, I feel that my brain is terribly inflamed. Guest guest
Hi there, I ordered my antivirals from overseas without a prescription before I finally found a doc willing to work with me. She is a primary care physician but she was educated outside of this country. Valcyte is not available but acyclovir, valacyclovir, famvir are all available and even with the shipping, pretty cost effective if you order several months at a time. Back channel me if you want more info. Marti P.S., Once I started it and felt better, I took the pkg to the doc and showed them how much better I felt and that's how I got a prescription. I still ordered it from overseas until this year because it was cheaper than my insurance copay. Do not get any valtrex unless it is covered in a blue coating. The white tablets without coating DOES NOT WORK!!! There are 3 out of 22 manufacturers that do not use the coating which keeps the medication in your blood stream so the pill is not very effective. > > The Montoya vid was the 1st thing I saw that gave me hope.
