Guest guest
{Moderator: Please trim posts} Sue - is it helping? How is the die off? If I eat a spoonful of sugar or carbs, every virus I have seems to flare for days. I would love to calm down all my immune responses - especially my tummy and the strict diet, so far, is helping, but I still think I would be a good candidate for this (I tried LDN, felt slightly better, but not enough to make the losing of sleep worthwhile). Do you still see Dr. Enlander and do you like him, trust him, is he easy to talk to, etc etc? ________________________________ From: Sue <suebackagain123@...> " " < > Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2012 12:55 AM Subject: Re: GcMaf  hi mira. dr. demeirleir pioneered the use of gcmaf for CFS. he is having a lot of success. dr. jeff bradstreet is having a lot of success in autism too. dr. enlander in NYC is also using it..thats where i got it from. i know of several people who have recovered or near-recovered on it. i have been on it 3 1/2 months but i still have a long way to go, having been sick 20 yrs.  it is an injection you usually give yourself. you dont need a prescription to get it....you can order it yourself if you want. it has helped me.  dr. cheney has also been using it but his protocol is different from the others.  the protocol is basically to start at a very low dose and slowly work your way up, if you can handle it. demeirleir gives nexavir with it and enlander gives hepapressin. Guest guest
Hi . You don't have to worry about the inflammation because nowadays, doctors are advising to start the gcmaf at the tiniest dose and slowly move up, so as to keep inflammation to a minimum. It is tolerable. I think everyone with CFS is a candidate. There aren't really any reliable tests out there to predict response. They say about 80% respond favorably.  I like and trust Dr. Enlander. I have seen him only once...I brought the meds home with me to Canada and inject them myself. I have intermittent phone consults with Dr. Enlander.  As for how I am doing, if you had asked me 2 weeks ago, I would be ecstatic. It was working very well...I was on cloud 9. But the last 10 days, things have plateaued and the brain fog has totally returned. I still have a little more energy..but I am very worried it has stopped working for some reason. Maybe I am being impatient as usual.  Anyway, don't pay any attention to that. I know of several people who are now functioning almost normally and a few who have even returned to work. One man is in med school after GcMAF! I have heard only one story of a woman who took the full dose for 38 weeks and had no response.  How long it takes might depend on how long you have been sick. 20 yrs for me...  There are many kinds of GcMAF out there now...GcMAF injections, the different types of yogurts, 2nd generation GcMAF in Japan...all kinds of sources, etc. Dr. Enlander gets his GcMAF from the same source as Dr. DeMeirleir and he feels the injections work best.  Just go to the phoenix rising cfs forum for posts from people on GcMAF....  There is also another forum where people have been on it for 1 - 2 yrs. Some have recovered. Private message me for link.    ________________________________ From: Kaimowitz <nanjkay@...> " " < > Sent: Tuesday, May 22, 2012 7:58:21 AM Subject: Re: GcMaf/Sue  {Moderator: Please trim posts} Sue - is it helping?
