All forms of magnesium are good; this form is supposed to be highly absorbable

and less irritating gastrointestinally. Start with a low dose to make sure it

doesn't give you diarrhea. The usual dose is 400 mg, but you might need more

depending upon symptoms. And no, you don't want to add calcium to that.

magnesium glycenate

My dr is suggesting this for headaches.

What is the dose?

Does calcium go wiht it/ dose?

thanks

Just my two cents - if you have an oxalate issue, is it good to mix magnesium

WITH calcium. Don't know all the details but it helps halt the leaking of the

oxalic crystals from the gut (or something to that effect).  I use a magnesium

malate from NOW and it has a good ratio of mag to calcium - much more mag than

calcium and it's cheap.

Life extensions has a very good one. One capsule gives you 500 mg unlike

many other brands I tried where you have to take 4-6 capsules to get that

much. Also the price is just under 8 $ for 100 capsules
