Hi Rich,

I am wondering if you have access to a table to convert 23andMe data to Yasko

data. I had this test run on my son and converting the data has been very

difficult. I just don't have the funds for a Yasko test for the two of us (or

even one of us). I purchased the 23andme for him (he's 22 and I don't want him

to trigger over). I am waiting for a sale to get the 23 and me data for myself.

I have already had several tests including VD methylation panel run on him and

he is currently doing well on the Simplified protocol. Thanks to you! I am

trying to address other genetic issues for him then start from scratch for me.

Supposedly this spreadsheet is the basis for converting the data but I found it

to be confusing:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ar76dNWyEQLIdExKZUhfXzFUWHpkWnZObk1\

TM1dxX0E & hl=en#gid=0

Do you know of an easier way to convert the data? Do you recommend Promethease

or SNPedia?

This is what I have found on the internet - is this procedure correct? This

made more sense to me than the spreadsheet.

" Commas seperate, Yasko name, 23andme rs#, Yasko variant (+/-). It is the Yasko

variant that one would use to compare to their variant given by 23andme.

For example, CBS A360A, rs1801181, +T/-C. 23andme result is a GG, which

translates to CC, remember, G=C and T=A. So translated to CC and C is '-' in

Yasko variant, then the 23andme would read as -/- or normal.

In Yasko-speak:

A '-' means you have the 'normal' genetic variant

A '+' means you may have issues with that enzyme

A '+/+ is abnormal

A '+/- is one you may still want to pay attention to and may derive benefit from

supplementation

A '-/-' is normal "

Thank you for any help. If you could point me in the right direction, I would

be very grateful.

Marti
