I am officially sick with a virus right now. Since working at a high

school I get exposed to a lot of bugs, many that I don't get. Five days

ago I came down with a sore throat after my glands had been hurting for

a couple of days. I have been working, tired but not bad until yesterday

evening. I sat in the sun for two hours in the afernoon, but then it

progressed into body aches, and last night I had a fever of 100.8 (high

for me as I am usually a 96.8 person). I hurt all over, had chills, felt

like my bones, muscles and skin hurt. Today I have the energy of a

peanut. Slept last night for 12 hours thanks to Nyquil (dislike taking

it because the next day everything drains and I end/ed up throwing up

from the sinus drainage). Thankfully my days off are Monday and Tuesday

so I can recuperate. I am taking my generic valcyclovir but didn't

obviously take it soon enough.

Thanks everyone for sharing your stories of which antiviral works for

you and for what symptoms.
