Guest guest
I tried this for my chronic head pain. Guest guest
I've never gotten the least bit of relief from boswellia. Ellen New research on Boswellia... Sweet anticoagulant, and also decreases most of the raised cytokines seen in CFS Gum-resin extracts of Boswellia serrata have been traditionally used in folk medicine for centuries to treat various chronic inflammatory diseases . It has been found to have antibacterial , anti-arthritic , anti-edemateous , antioxidant, antiplatelet and anticoagulant(equivalent to heparin) . positive effects of BEs in some chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, bronchial asthma, osteoarthritis, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease have been reported . . Inhibited clotting factors Xa and Xia . Inhibited ADP induced platelet aggregation . Major increase of coagulation time . Major increase of prothrombin time . Major increase of activated partial thromboplastin time . Decrease of TNF-alpha, IL-1, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6 and IFN-gamma , http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22457547 (2011) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22422529 (2012) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21479939 (2011) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21855244 (2011) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21771654 (2011) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20696559 (2010) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20696559 (2010)
Guest guest
I'm intrigued by this because of the impact on platelets and coagulation. I developed idiopathic thrombocytopenia pupurea at the onset of my CFIDS. Has anyone else received this diagnosis? Not only did it help with the pain of osteoarthritis but it slowly diminished the bursistis pain I had in one hip - a very pleasant surprise since I can sleep on both sides of my body now. Guest guest
Were you taking any medications or antibiotics when you developed idiopathic thrombocytopenia pupurea? Many meds can trigger it. Guest guest
I was on no meds at the onset of the fatigue, pain and ITP dx. It started after a severe virus in Feb 1996 that put my whole office in bed for two weeks. One woman ended up with leukemia, I ended up with Cfs and ITP and everyone else recovered. It is true many meds do cause it or make it worse. I had two hemmorages while taking Depakote before I figured out it was bringing my platelets way down.
