Guest guest
I am very curious to know if the improvement I felt after my recent chemical stress test could be related to this diagnosis. I asked the cardiologist about it and she refused to speculate or pursue an explanation. diastolic cardiomyopathy The average cardiologist doesn't have a clue what Cheney's talking about. They don't really care about your cardiac output. They might check your ejection fraction, which is a systolic measurement. I think only Cheney is really qualified to say whether you have it. And even Cheney doesn't think CFS is primarily a heart disorder, so there's not much point in getting him to test you either. Tim Bonnie, your first step should be getting referred to a cardiologist. They might do some basic preliminary non-invasive testing (echo, etc) to look at your heart function. They should be able to take it from there... Hope this helps! > > After listening to Dr. Cheney's 3 hour lecture about diastolic cardiomyopathy (on the web), I have come to believe that this iis what I have. > > Does anyone know the name of the test that determines whether or not we have this disorder? My doctor doesn't know anything about this amd I would like to have the test done. > > Thanks, > > bonnieb ------------------------------------ This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. Guest guest
You can always try taking herbs traditionally used for a variety of heart problems -- they tend to increase blood flow to the heart. Hawthorn and Dan Shen (salvia miltiorrhiza) are helpful for me. I don't have any unwanted effects from these, and I am usually very sensitive to meds, if that reassures you. Guest guest
Diagnosed with left ventricular dysfunction, diastolic and systolic heart failure. I take no meds, but take other vits and supps. Diagnosed in 1998 still alive, whilst seeing others taking toxic drugs, worsening or passing away due to the side effects of drugs. If you know why you have the HF, it can be reverisble. I belong to a Dutch site as mentioned by another member, where, many reversed the heart failure using vits and supps. Guest guest
Which supplements do you take for your heart? What would help the poor circulation in my legs-neuropathy? joyce > > Diagnosed with left ventricular dysfunction, > diastolic and systolic heart failure. I take no meds, > but take other vits and supps. Diagnosed in 1998 > still alive, whilst seeing others taking toxic drugs, > worsening or passing away due to the side effects of > drugs. > > If you know why you have the HF, it can be reverisble. > > I belong to a Dutch site as mentioned by another member, > where, many reversed the heart failure using vits and supps. > > Kookie >
